The name of this beach is indigenous and is located in a middle-class neighborhood of Salvador. The beach has a long strip of yellow and fine sand. Seawater has greenish hues and has big waves in some places. In certain parts of the beach you can rent beach umbrellas to enjoy a long day of sun. There are great hotels over the edge, many shops, bars and restaurants. A stone wall separates the beach from the boardwalk at certain points. In others, the separation has rocks and coconut trees. The waterfront also has weight machines, biking and jogging track. The beach is polluted because of illegal sewage that are thrown overboard. Just so it is not recommended for bathing. The lack of water conditions, bathers often visit the Valentine's Garden, located in the central part, to take advantage of the sports courts and hold outdoor meetings. In front of the Valentine's Garden, there is a huge coral reef that is worth being appreciated. Pituba
